EGO Product Photography
Lifestyle-driven product photography designed to make outdoor power equipment feel approachable, premium, and real-world ready
Overview
The project involved art directing a large-scale EGO product photography library across multiple outdoor power equipment categories. The imagery combined product-focused compositions with real-world lifestyle scenarios to create flexible visual assets for digital, retail, social, and marketing use.
Problem
Product photography in the outdoor power equipment category often feels overly technical, sterile, or disconnected from how consumers actually use the products. EGO needed a photography system that balanced premium product presentation with approachable lifestyle storytelling.
Impact
• Created a cohesive photography library spanning multiple products and use cases
• Helped position EGO products within authentic, lifestyle-oriented environments
• Delivered flexible visual assets for digital campaigns, retail, social, and ecommerce applications
• Established a polished and consistent visual language across product imagery
My Role
Art direction, shot planning, production collaboration, and post-production oversight.
I developed shot lists and visual direction, collaborated closely with photographers and production teams on set, and guided retouching and post-production to ensure a polished final image library aligned with the brand’s premium visual identity.
Process Highlights
• Developed detailed shot lists focused on real-world homeowner scenarios and product functionality
• Collaborated with photographers to balance product clarity with natural lifestyle moments
• Guided environmental styling, framing, and composition to maintain brand consistency
• Directed retouching and post-production to create a clean, cohesive visual system across all assets
What Makes It Different
Rather than treating the products as isolated studio objects, the photography emphasized authentic usage moments and approachable outdoor environments. The creative approach focused on making the products feel both aspirational and accessible while maintaining strong product visibility and visual consistency.
Where It’s Going
The photography system was designed as a scalable asset library that can support future campaigns, ecommerce experiences, retail materials, social content, and broader brand storytelling initiatives across the EGO ecosystem.
